Managing Directors Remarks
The NZOWASCO is the primary water resources service provider for Bungoma and Trans-Nzoia County, with key water supply, water quality, waste water and environmental stewardship responsibilities for Kitale, Bungoma, Webuye, Kimilili and Amagoro-Kocholia towns.
Like many other water service providers in Kenya, the NZOWASCO is facing a fast-changing operating environment with unprecedented challenges on many fronts, led by an uncertain local and national economic climate. To address these challenges, the NZOWASCO updated a service provider-wide strategic plan that included business analyses and review of the vision, issues, goals, strategies and tactics for the next three to five years, 2015 – 2020. This process was led by the Managing Director, Board, management team and Visionary Leadership and Management Consultants.
In developing a strategic vision, the team concluded that the NZOWASCO must continue to emphasize sustainable financial, service, operational, technical, integrated ICT and people excellence, and demonstrate it effectively to our stakeholders. Especially in tough economic times, Nzowasco have a greater need to improve responsiveness, excellence, transparency and accountability to stakeholders and the community. The Nzowasco must focus on more efficient services, with maximum value for money paid to assure future sustainability.
These realities are reflected in the NZOWASCO’s strategic vision for 2015 – 2020:
“To be world class water service provider in Kenya”
Our intent is to demonstrate this vision of world class practices to everything we do in carrying out the NZOWASCO’s mission, to strengthen the value of our products and services, and to renew our connections with the stakeholders we serve.
Thank you for your continued support of the company.
